No frills, just basic. The lack of any kind of scroll wheel is a definite drawback -- I thought I'd get along fine without one, but I'm too used to having it (I actually have my old mouse sitting on the opposite side of my computer just so I can use its scroll wheel while I use this Kensington trackball as me main pointing device). So if you're used to scrolling with your mouse or trackball, you may want to spend the extra money to get the K72337 model.
Also worth noting: the TrackballWorks software touted by Kensington on the website and in the packaging of the actual trackball didn't recognize this model, even though it was pictured. After contacting support they provided me with a link to an older version (1.2, as opposed to the version 1.3.1 that I had originally downloaded) which did recognize it, allowing me to make a simultaneous click of both left and right buttons initiate a "drag" where I could click them on a scroll bar, and then just use the trackball to pull it down and scroll the page -- which works as a great substitute for a scroll wheel until you land on a web page that expands as you scroll.
Overall, though, if you just want a reliable basic pointing device, and you don't care about scrolling, you could do much worse than this model. And if you're worried about the transition from a mouse to a trackball, don't be -- it may take a few days for you to get used to the difference, but it really is much more comfortable to use, especially if you're on your computer for long hours.

I have mine over 4 years, and works perfectly. It is the only thing that healed my hurt elbow. I would not go back to a regular mouse to use for a long period.
